ADDINTON LIVE STOCK MARKET.

Ohrisiohdrob, May 8

Tbe market was not bo full this week as has been the oaso for some time, the absence of store sheep being the most notioeable feature. The weather was excellent and the attendance quite up to the usual number at this time of the year.

Fat Cattle. — There was a very good entry of boof, including some prime large framed bullocks. The highest price fetohed at the auctioft was for these, £9 7s 6d, but they were subsequently sold privately, as high as v £lo 10s being paid for ono. For ordinary 'beef prices are unaltered.

Store Cattle.— There was a fair entry of this description of stock and the prioes obtained were as follows : — Eighteen months old heifers up to 333 ; ditto steers, up to 38s ; two year old heifers, to £2 12a • three year olda mixed from £2 15s to £2 18s.

Lambs — There was not a large entry but they were of very good quality and sold at fully up to last quotations given. Stobb Sheep. — There was a very Hmall eiitry the prinoipal lines sold being on account of bona fide owners, no dealers' lots being noticeable. Aged crossbred ewes sold Rt from 5s to Gs ; line of email lambs fetohed 8s; merino wethers realised 3a 6d ; full mouth merino eweß, 2s lOd. Fat Sheep.— There was about the usual entry of fat Bheep, generally of excellent quality. The sale kept up well and anything of specially good quality reached^ olose up to 2d per lb.

Calves. — Some exceptionally fine calves were yarded, and fetched a good price, as high as 33s being realised for specially good lines. ."'.'-

i Pigs.— There was an immense entry, in' eluding a quantity of North Island pigs Baoonera fetohed tip to 3|d per Ib.
