Mblboubnk, May 8. The grain market is quiet. Wheat, 5s 6d to 5s 7d ; New Zealand oats, m view of large shipments, are dull at 8s 9£d. Barley— Capo, 8s 6d; malting, 58 3d to 5s sd.
Adelaide, May 8 Wheat at out-ports, 4s 8d to 4s 9d, farmers' lots ; Port Adelaide, 4s lOd 5 shipping parcels, ss. New Zealand oats, 4b 3d to 4s 4d.
BTDNBT, May 8. Wheat— Tuscan is selling largely up to 4s 10d, and a little more for seed samples on the spot : chiok wheat, 8s 6d to 8s 9d ; milling, New Zealand (full supply), 4s 4d to 4s 6d ; Adelaide, 5s 4d to 5s 6d. Oats, 8s 3d to 8s 4d ; bright heavy milling, market dull ; New Zealand chaff, £5 to £6 ss, good demand. Onions, £14 to 14 10s ; blue Prussian peas, 4s 3d to 4s sd ; potatoes, New Zealand £4 10s ; barley, Cape dull 3s 2d to 8s 4d, English 4s 6d ; rye grass seed scarce, 3s 6d to 8s 9d ; cheese plentiful, 7d to 7£d, loaf 8d ; butter, New Zealand dairy 9d to Is, separator made Is to Is 2d, best qualities are scarce and m demand, off sorts are plentiful and dull of sale; bacon, best New Zealand light cuts are 9£d to lOd ; hams, Is. (Reoeived May 9, 230 p.m.) London, May 8 The amount of wheat and flour afloat is 1,732,000 quarters ; for the Continent 316,000. The American visible supply is 25,250,000 bushels (?). The English market shows a general decline of 6d ; Contental, steady; American, depressed.
