AUCTIONEER'S REPORT.
Mr Alfred Harrison reports his weekly sale of Saturday, May 4th, as follows :— . Cows. — Good milch cows >>old from £4 to £5 17s 6d ; aged, 30 to 37s 6d. Good demand for first class animals.
Pigs.— Slips, 63 9i to 10s ; stores, 20s J sows, 25s to 31 4.
Poulthy.— Fowls, Is 6d to 2s 4i ; duoke, 2s 6d to 3s.
Produce — Derwents, 5b to 6 • 6d and 7s 6d. Kidneys are now unsaleable. Chickwheat, 2a to 3a per bushel ; oats, 2s to 2s 6d per bushel ; bran, 4i 6d ; sharps, 6s to 7s ; onions, Id to 2d per 1b ; cheese, 4d , mutton Id to l£d per lb ; carcase pork, 3dto3|dperlb. A large quantity of merchandise of various descriptions; implements, harness, spring cart, and sundries as usual found a very good market.
