MR DILLON.
Mr Dillon, one of the Irish M.P*' 8 * addressed a large audience here l aßt night on the subject of Home Ru le « He said that the outrages and murde rs that had been committed in Ireland were committed in revenge for the sufferings imposed on the people, and that the moral guilt rested with the law. The only hope for the people was to make the government of Ireland impossible unless their demands were conceded. He declined at present to publish a statement of receipts and expenditure of the League, because it would afford immediate grounds for the British Government to prosecute the subscribers for conspiracy. He severely condemned the Australian Press for their Attitude in regard to Home Rule.
