Bydwiy. April 29. Mrs Corston, formerly of Auckland, on a charge of bigamy, was to-day ordered to be imprisoned till the riling Of the Court, The schooner Mary Campbell, with a cargo of railway girders, bound from Clarence river (Graftoo) to Melbourne, sprang a leak wheu off Cape Hawke, and was abandoned by the craw. When the latter were picked up by a passing steamer, the schooner was rapidly sinking. A man named Button, who oa 21st March was committed for trial for criminally outraging a girl who was lodging with him under most revolting circumstances, was to-day arraigned on the charge before the Supreme Court, and upon a verdict of guilty being returned was sentenced to death.
