HORSE MARKET
Me T. Bullook report* for t! c fortnight ending Saturday, 27th Ayr!!. On Saturd»y, April 20th, there were fewer horses entered than at previous seles ; this I presume was onaooouatof the Ensterholl days. Only 27 were brought fnrwtrd out of which 12 were sold at th-i following prices, viz., m dlum draughts, 4 and 6 year olds, £22 10j and £23 ; 7 year old, £15 j aged of a good stamp, £,13, £17 10s ; Inferior, £5 2j 6d, £6 sj, £10 5i and £10 15s ; 2 fillies, 2 and 3 year olds, brought £24 the pair ; light harness horses, £5 6s and £6 fa with little demand. Sundries double farrow plough, £9 10a ; single, £3 17s 6i ; set of harness, £3 10a ; a quantity of harness, horse oovers, etc,, at market rates. For Saturday 27 tb, 34 horses were entered for the day's sale out of whlob J7 were sold. There were no really first-clips draughts amongst the entry, tbe prices realised for those sold were as follow a ; — medium draughts of a light description, 4 »nd 5 year olds, £t4, £14; 6 and 7 year olds, £15, £15, £15 10 j and £16 10s ; 7 Fear old of a good stamp, £25 ; ag«d, £5 15), £6 15s and £9 5j ; light htruess borsen, £9 10s, £10 10a and £11 10) ; hf»ok«, £5, £5 10s ; Inferior draughts and scrubbers »t low rates.
