♦ The following la the Corn Exchange report for the week ending Friday, Apt it 26'-h 1889 :— The Eaater holidays are over and farmers came m full force to dispose of their products, the oonsequence was that transactions took place m grain of all descriptions, wheat being offered most freely. The quantity of barley, however, was considerable, but waa not m favor of buyers unless where the quality was extra good. Large lines of wheat were quitted, but the prioea barely maintained those of the previous week. Shipments to Sydney are still considerable, but late advioes state the market to be drooping. Oats ara offering m more limited parcels and prioes are fairly well maintained. Potatoes are now coming into notice and several sales are reported at £2 15a and £3 at country stations. The majority, however are talking of pitting for higher figures. Freights to London are reasonable, and those wanting spaoe are able to make very reasonable terms. To Sydney, however, all space available has been aeoured for some weeks to oome. The following are our quotations. Wheat.— Tusoan, 4s ; Pearl, 3s 8d to 3s 9d; Hunters, 8s 7d to 8a 8d ; Chicken, 2a 9d to 3s. Oats— Milling, 23 10d; Bhotttead, 2a 8d to 2s 9d ; Tartars, 2s 9d. BiRLBy. — Prime malting, 3a 9d ; medium quality, 3s 3d to 3a 6d ; feed, 2a 6d to 2a 9d. Beans, 3s 3d to 8s 4d. Peas.— Blues, 83 6d to 8a 8d ; feed, 3a to 8s 3d. Grabs Seed,-— Maohine dreßsed, 8a 9d; farmer's parcels, 2s 6d to 3a ; Oookafoot weak at 2Jd to 2£d. Potatoes. — Derwents, £8 at oountry stations. Dairy Produce.— The market ia quiet at 8d to lOd for butter and 4d to 4Jd for oheese. The above prices are those paid to farmers for delivery f.0.b., saoka extra.
