Sydnby, April 24. Contingent, upon the Colonial Treasurer moving the introduction of a Bill m the Legislative Assembly to provide for the sale of suburban lands to extinguish the existing deficit, Mr Henry Copeland, member for New England, who was returned on the protection ticker, has given notice of motion—" That m order to meet the deficit an <xd valorem duty of io per cent be imposed on fancy articles, carriages, jewellery, drapery (except cotton and woollens), glassware, furniture, and other articles; such duties to cease when the deficit is extinguished," The motion is considered practically a vote of censure on the Government,
