TINWALD BAZAAR

Thar annual bazaar and sale of work, m aid of the funds of the parochial district of Long, beaoh, was held fn the Templar Hall, Tinwald, yesterday. The bazaar folly sustained its previous reputation. It , -was more than usually well supplied with useful and fanoy articles and a very large quantity of farm produce was contributed, no less than sixty farmers m the district having «et down their names for gifts m kind. The attendance was very good,. the Hall, during the afternoon, being crowded to its utmost capacity. The following ladies presided at the i various stalls :— Fanoy goods stall, Mesdames Scott and Tlppett and Misses Jef and Davis ; Produce stall, Mesdames Olarl and Low, and Miss Clark ; Befreshment stall Mesdames Carter and Garbett and Mist Cowper. During the afternoon the artioles is the several stalls were rapidly disposed off, those remaining being offered at auotion ir the evening by Messrs Thomas and Williams Amongst the visitors were many from Ash burton and from the country districts, am their attendance and patronage were verj \ enoouraging to those who had worked to get ; the bazaar op. At the conclusion the Be\ B. F. Garbett on behalf of himself and the chnrob officers of the district thanked Mi Thomas and Mr Williams, m suitable terms for the kindly assistance they had afforded and expressed regret that Mr T. Bullock, whe \ had always been to the fore with genial and c valuable help m past years waa prevented ) through illness, from being present that day > The gross amount realised by the bazaar was . over £70} .
