FOUNDERING OF A STEAMER
[Pis Press Association.] Londov, April 22 A steamer named the Denmarck, carrying emigrant*, met with an accident when 800 miles off Newfoundland. The machinery became hisabled, owing to an explosion m the machine room, during which the engineer was killed. The Missouri took the vessel m tow, but before she could get her into a port of safety she foundered. The English ship Missoura being unable to tow the dissabled Danish emigrant vessel into port jettisoned her cargo m order to make room for for the 700 emigrants, whom she conveyed safely to the Azores.
