QuongTart, a leading Chinese merchant here, who went to China some time ago, m connection with the antiChinese legislation of the colonies, has returned to this city. He says that the Viceroy listened attentively to his version of the Chinese difficulty and it it intended to bring his views under the notice of the Pekin authorities. Quong Tart believes that a high official will be sent to Australia to treat direct with the Colonial Government,
