NEW ZEALAND EXHIBITION.

The Ashburton Committee has had consideration the best means of exhibiting the resources of the district, m conformity with the Information given by the Bxeon> tlve Oommlsiioner at his recant visit, and has decided to endeavonr to oarry out the following scheme :—

Aw parson who may have epeolmens or samples opining under this head la requested to send particulars to the Secretary as *oon as possible. The exhibits will be stored Ip Ashburton until the Exhibition is open for fcbelr jreoeptlon (about Ootober 1), when they will l bo forwarded to Dnnedln and dtapUyM to the beat advantage by a qualified person. The Committee will give all information on application to those Intending to exhibit their own manufactures, Inventions, etc., who will themselves secure and pay for the neoessary space. And the Committee will forward any saoh exbibiti which may be sant by a aubsorlber of a reasonable amount to the f and, and will attend to their being propeily placed m the Exhibition, ami explained to visitors. Intending exhibitors m these classes are invited (o communicate with the Committee.

Applications for spaoe most be made no) later than July 1. The Committee therefore request the earliest possible Information respecting probable exhibits. The oarrylug out of this) soheme will entail a considerable •xpendlture, and ■uoiorlptloDS towards this are Invited from all those who are Interested In the progress and prosperity of the dlstrlot. The Mayor, Mr D. Thomw, and Mr H. Zaader have been appointed joint hon Treasurers, and Mr G. Blaset Secretary,, eaoh of whom, and all members of the Committee, will be glad to receive subscriptions. The Secretary has a supply of oopleo of the official prospectus for distribution.
