Doctor Tigg, a well-known medico of WilliamstowD, has been arrested on a charge ot performing an illegal operation. The patient is reported to be dying. Owing to the strike the Phoenix Foundry, Ballarat, has been closed, and 600 hands are thrown out of employment.
