Mr Gladstone delivered a formal panegyric on the /late John Bright m the House of Commons to-day. He said his old colleague had bern removed from the busy scene of life at a happy moment, when the great cause of freetrade which he advocated for so many years was m full career of i triumph. His opposition to Home Rule, though disappointing to those with whom he had been long associated, h*d not besn able to provoke disparageraeht of his character on their part, but he believed it had produced a deeper impression than either his distinguished intellect or his splendid eloquence.
