In Boreohqrob, one of the villages which is intensely concerned m the Colchester election, a story is tpld of an old ohuroh olerk who, being unable to write, forgot to announce that on the following Sunday there would be np serviop, the vjoar having promised $q ofpoiate for a friend at a neighboring ohqroh. Direotly the congregation were outside the blunt old olerk thought of his omisßion, and rushing out and mounting the nearest tomb* stone, h.e shouted at the top of his voice: '♦jThia is tp give notioe that there won't be no ohuroh here next Sunday.
