DISSENSION IN THE CABINET.

The "Evening Press" states that serious dissensions of an unprecedented character have arisen m the Cabinet, caused by differences of opinion botween tbe Hon (1, Flah.r, the Minister of Customs, and hla colleagues, regarding the prosecutions recently Initiated for breach of the Beer Duty Act. According to the "Evening Press" the whole of the Cabinet ate against Mr Fi.ber except Sir F. Whitaker. whose opinion haß not been given * and It was to asoertatn it that Mr Fisher went to Auokland If Sir F. Whitaker upholds the others, It Is hinted that Mr Fisher will resign. Parliament will meet abou* June 18
The Colonial Seoretary leaves for tbe Sonth about Thursday next.
