New Plymouth, March 25.

On the resumption of proceedings at 2 p.m. Jones attempted to bring forward a new witness to prove that the Natives perjared themselves m the assault case, when he was fined hy Mr Bawson for assaulting Natives. The Commissioners ruled that no new witnesses could be oalled, only those witnesses that appeared before Mr Rawson daring the hearing of the case. Jones then said it would be Impossible for him to proceed with his oharges if he could not get tbe evldenoe he wanted.

The Commissioners adjourned till tomorrow, when other persons who have laid oharges, but have fall fid to appear to support them, will be Anally oalled upon to do so. The Commission is therefore now practloally closed. New Plymouth, March 26.

This was dune, but there being no appearance of anyone, Commissioner Reid said Mr Jelllcne before he left had Intimated that he would not call evidence In Duncan McGregor's case, bo it wai dosed.
