At the sale of Und to-day by the Wellington and Manawatu Railway Com pany, there waa submitted 26.024 acres iv the Otakl blopk, m fprty-ulnu sections, ranging from 50 to 2300 acres, of which 2995 aores were sold, realising an average of £2 6s per sore. In the township of Oheu, seventy-two town seotlons from qaartor tt two acres m area, and twontjtive suburban sections from one and d quarter aores to eleven and a quarter acres, were oflfdred ; sixteen town seotlons reft'laing an average of £34 5s 7d per section, seventeen suburban seotlons, coif talniny 78 acres, realising an average of £8 16^ 8d per acre, were sold.
