Airini Donnelly's Natives lay claim to the land on which Broughton lives, and have broken down fences and proceeded to plough tbe land. News has just come from Omahu that this afternoon Airini's natives prepared to carry the house by a sault. They were actually advancing, when Broughton's people went into the building and thrust n_b an 1 ! gun barrels through tbe w'ndowß, evidently detjrmined to fire Airini's people carried no arms. The poise got between tbe contending fore j 8 and managed to stop the assmlt Broughton and some Europeans who had gona to help him were seized, bound, and thrown into a ditch, but the^polioa made the Natives liberate thorn iDßpeotor Kiely has only seven men under him, snd more cannot be ppared . Ihe Natives on both sides are camped now and no disturbance is anticipated m the oifjht, bub it is feared that io the morning a serious affray may 1 ensue, Oaptain Preece is energetically endeavori >g to briog the Natives to reason, acting a mediator.
