THE CHINESE QUESTION.
Stdxxy, Maroh 19. Replying to Way Lee, a Chinese merchant here, the Chinese Ambassador m London Bays that it has been decided that a conference between England and China will be held shortly to consider the emigration question. The Ambassador requests Way Lee to petition the Governments of New South Wales and Queensland to remove the border tax. If the petition is fruitless then an urgent appeal will be made to England to interfere m the matter. China objects to her subjects being taxed at all.
