THE COMPTOIR D'ESCOMPTE.
Shares of the Comptoir d'Escompte de Paris are now quoted at 300 irancs. A number of French bankers met to-day to consider plans for preventing the Comptoir going into liquidation. No course of action was decided upon. It is understood that twenty million francs will be required to avoid liqnidation.
