SALE OF HORSES The annual sale of horses bred on the Lowoliffe Estate took place yesterday at the AsUburton Saieyarde, Mr J. T. Ford (Miles and Go.) being the auctioneer, There was a large attendacoe, comprising dealers from Ohristohuroh and Tfmnrn, and » nameroaa body of local dealers and farmers. Competition was spirited, and as tte auctioneer was able to offer every lot " without reserve,'* a very t>ucoeisful sale was the result, prices being considerably batter than have been current at any towu auction sales lately. The draught horses were three and four year old unbroken nitres and geldings, by M»jor— useful, active farm sorts, of ' medium and light weight. Prises ran from £14 to £22 ; from £20 to £22 being realised for Buverui lots, The hacks were by The Waif, and though useful sorts, varied a good deal m stamp. They also were three and four year olds, and unbroken. A four year old obestnut gelding of good style brought £17 lOi, others from £6 to £14. A number of other entries were offered for various owners, but without leading to muoh business. In Bankruptcy. IN BANKRUPTCY.
