Mr Rawton declined to examine the witness on tho ground that a mine was sprang on him, and he required counsel to defend him. The further bearing of the charges was «d---journed till W< dceiday In order to allow Mr Hesketh, from Anokland, to be present to defend Mr Bawson. The case la creating great Interest here, Nbw Plymouth, March 8. Mr Hesketh, an Auckland solioitoa, arrived thin morning to act for Mr Ramon.
