At a meeting of the Anglican General Synod a petition was received from fifty eight parishoners of St John's, Roslyn, praying that the Synod maka itself acquainted with all the cnoumatanoearf the reoent disputes, and devise a mode of relief* A Committee wai appointed to prepare an address to the Prims le, who Is resigning, to be presented towards the close of the session The Synod went Into Committee to consider a series of resolutions re tbeologloal studies, whfoh, with some amendments, were adopted. They provide that candidates for Holy Orders be required to pass the entrance examination of the University, and that those who have received a degree In arts have two years' conrie of theological studies.

The Pynod was occupied the whole evening by consideration m Committee of the looumhenta' Removal Bill. An attempt was made to kill it by reporting progress without asking leave to sit again, bat this was defeated, and eventually progress was reported, leave being given to alt again.
