Wellington, February 22? Thirteen members of the Wellington police force left m the Walcarapa for Gisborne this evening and by the game steamer some 60 or 70 members of the permanent artillery fully equipped were embarked. At Napier this number will be increased and the whole will be engaged m maintaining order m the dlatarbed distriot. Chbistchubch, February 22. Five constables left here by the Taktpuna under orders to report themselves at the depot In Wellington immediately on the arrival of the steamer. It la oonjectared this has something to do with the con* oentratlbn of constabulary et Poverty Bay.
