Sydnot, February 20. Government, m response to a request from Victoria, forwarded their views on the Canadian Conference to the Premier of the latter colony, and the proposal to hold a Conference m Australia falling m with the views held by the Hon D. Gillies, the Premier, he cabled to the authorities m Canada the opinion of the colonies on the subject. The Hon G. R. Dibbs, Premier of New South Wales, is indignant at the Premier of the sister colony acting as a mouthpiece lor Australia, and has wired to Canada suggesting that the conference be held m Sydney, this being the senior colony.
