IMPERIAL DEFENCES.
It is reported that Government propose to introduce a Defence Loan of ioo millions sterling, with which to build twenty-two ironclads and fifty cruisers, the whole to' be completed before 1895, also to substitute, both at Home and abroad, the latest patterns of guns, iostead of those now m use.
