MARRIAGE OF SIR H. PARKES.
ISews from Sydney under date 11th Inst eaya :— Sir Henry Parkes. the exPremler aas marrio.l last Wednesday morning. The whole affair bad been kept a profound secret. The bride Is some forty years bis junior. The couple were married by the Key Mr Bryce of St Paul's Church of England, Redfern, and tha clergyman at onoi left for the oountry, it Is thought with a view of asalating to keep the nutter qilet. The allenoe cannot be accounted for. After the marriagn Sir Henry Lft for the country alone, and ho apoko that nlghr. Sir Henry was born m 1815, and consequently Is seventyth cc yeara of age. Tho bride's maiden name was Eleanor Dlokson, and she Is described aa a spinster living at Rod fern. She Is the mother of five ohlfdren three of whom are alive. Sir Henry Is regarded as having aoted honorably m marrying Miss Dlokson, but on his taking her horns his daughter at once left the hoo.ee.
