Serious irregularities have been disclosed m the conduct of the business of two city branches of the London Chartered Bank, and the managers have been dismissed. It appeared that they had been speculating m land, and had borrowed money from customers of the Bank. The managers being unable to repay the money borrowed allowed the customers to overdraw to an? amount
