Miss Elsie Sail, an Australian musical prodigy, 11 years of age, has been exoiting some interest at Stuttgart, Germany, where she has entered the Conservatory of Musio, The little girl made her first oonoert appear? anoe m Stuttgart on December 11, when she soored a marked suooesa, and her playing has einoe been much spoken about m Stuttgart musical airolea. On this oooasion she took the piano part m a Haydn oonoerto; It iB a great mark of diatinotion for any pupil to be allowed to play at these concerts within 12 months of their admission intp the institution, but a muoh greater distinction for a child of little Elsie's years to be permitted to tike part after she had only been receiving instruction at the institution for the short period of lets than tii months. The "Rangitikei Adyooate" contributes the following : — Another instance of a dreamer having been vouchsafed the same of a winner m an impending horse-rade has come under our notioe. A lady dreamed* that Qaeenie was going to win the Turakina Handicap, at Turakina the other day, and she had bo mnob faith m the communication, if suoh it was, that she handed m the first pound to the totalisator, as soon as it was open for that race, to be put on Qaeenio. This is no story trumped up after the raoe, as Mr Reed related the inoident to our reporter justbefor* the start, having himself just been told by the lady, but the reporter somehow forgot the fooident until it was reoalled to his memory yesterday. The result of the raoe was, of course, m aqoordanop with the dream. 9uionjfl w9J.f*W7t *.?&j?!j[d ? P}§ dividend,
