Accused had become a nuisance at <ho houso. George Henry Moore, sworn, aald accused had been at h-s place seeking work but hid never baen given any. He had behaved ia a moßt insane man&er when at the atatioa. Witaess owed him nothiojj; iiud had never irivn him any authority to give orders on him. Oont table Bourlce gave evidence as to accused's conduct whilbt at Methven.— Accused on oath stated that he bad worked for Mr Moore m 1859 and the arrangement was that Mr Moore was to give him £60 or pay it into tho Bank for him This bad aot been done and the £50 was sti-l owing. Mr Me or hud put private and other detectives on to him to prevent bis obtaining work. The Bench ordered accused to be imprisoned for 3 months with hard labour.
