Sir W. Fox move! an additional clause, recomtneudiDg the reading of the Bible m schools, bat it was afterwards withdrawn and the memorial agreed to as originally drafted. A boy named Ohai Clark, nine years of age, pleaded guilty at the Police Oonrt to-day of stealing £1 from the dwelling of his employer, a Ohinaman, Dr Giles, Raeldent Magistrate, ordered that he receive six strokes with a biroh rod. The boy's previous ohnraoter had been good.
