In Melbourne market there were yarded same time 2:50 fit cattle, sold up to £13, and 31,000 fat sheep, sold for orossbreds to 13s, aud 12s for prime merino wethers Daring tho same week the fish amket of Melbourne was supplied with 2318 baskets nf fish, 336 dozin ortwfhb, 18(50 braoe of wild fowl, 8213 pairs of rabbits, etp. Flour was quoted at £10 10j for stone made, and £11 10s for roller. Fruit and vegetables generally were In good supply at reaßOcable prices ; potatoes-»tbe market regularly collapsed— being difficult to plaoe at £6 to £7 owing to heavy deliveries, farmers having been tempted to dig them before they weie fit or rips. All accounts unite now m saying the otop will not be muoh under the average, and that large planting had taken plaoe since rain fell m November, Cheese and butter were In exoess of demand.
