This reached Messrs Kirkpatrlck and Co., of Nelson and they went to work lo a very praotical fashion to prove that the jams manufactured by tbe firm were of the best quality. Two cases of assorted .V jams wen aent to this office, with a request that we would thoroughly teat the jam along with other brands, and give our opinion. We are happy to state, frankly Mid folly tbat webave been very mnoh surprised, as prior to -the receipt of .Messrs Kirkpatrlok's gift we were unaware - that New Zealand conld boast of an industry of whlob It has so mnoh reason to be prood.
