London, February 5, Tenders for the South Australian $y 2 per cent loan 0^1,317,800 at par were opened to-day. It proved to be a failure, only .£553,700 being subscribed. The average was ;£xoo 4s sd. The balance will be left open at par. Syndicates refrained from taking up any part of the loao.
