The Ohrlstohnrch man steadily diminished the distance between them, bat could not catch Vail who won with about fifteen yards to spare, Balek an indifferent third, MoKay a few yards away fourth. Jones aod Bennetts stuck together nearly the whole of the way each alternately leading till the last lap, when Bennetts forged ahead and won with the greatest of ease by about fifty yards, Time, 37min 220e0. Jooes protested against the win on tbo ground that Bennetts ran Into him and broke some of the spokes of bis machine.
