LIBEL ACTION.
The libel action brought by Messrs Mee', Milling and Co. agents for the Otago Dock Trust Loan, against the proprietor of the "Standard" newspaper, for having published the Hon R. Campbell's letter warning financiers against the loan, was heard to-day. In the statement of defence the defendants pleaded that the subject matter complajned of did not refer to the plaintiffs. A verdict was given for defendants.
