MURDER OF A POLICEMAN.
London, January 28. A Policeman was savagely attacked and murdered m a street of Gateshead-on-Tyne. Owing to the weapon used being a butcher's knife, a butcher was arrested who was known to have had a grudge against the unfortunate man.
