-=rr —♦?- : (PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Zanzibar, Jannary 26. Information has been received here that the Hey. Mr Brookes, one of the missionaries, and sixteen of his followers have been murdered at Saadani by Arabs. Berlin, Jannary 26, The Liberal Press of Germany strongly oppose the provisions of the East African Bill. The German Consul at Zanzibar has reported to the Government that the naval blockade of the Coast has been the cause of disturbance m which Arabs have killed many persens and taken several missionaries into custody. The Reichstag has referred the East African Bill to a Committee. Prince Bismarck denies any intention on the part of Germany to proceed against Zanzibar m opposition to English interests and declares that unity with England will be upheld. He adds that any unpleasantness which has arisen has been due to subordinate officials,
