A fire broke out m Oourteoay Place at 2.30 this morning, and destroyed the premises of Jackson, pork batoher, Stevens, green grocer, Daltoo, bootmaker, and a small shop ocoupled as dairy premises owned by Sploer, over which he has a polioy of £1900 In the Northern offi c, partly reinsured, and £150 In the Pbreilx OoUln's (groo^r) shop was also partly damaged, but the stock was not Injured. The fire originated In the butohet's shop but there Is no olae as to how It s'arted. The lessee states that he visited the shop at 10.80 on the previous evening when everything was apparenty '•fe..
