THE EMPEROR'S DIARY.
Berlin, Jan nary 17. The Reichstag yesterday had under consideration the case of Prof. Geffeken, charged with publishing the diary of the late Emperor Frederick. The indictment sets forth that m the year 1879, when at Weisbaden, the then Crown Prince was induced to lend his diary to the Professor. The volume consisted of seven hundred pages, and was m the possession of Geffeken three weeks. The Professor is charged with extracting twenty pages of the diny, A duplicate of the diary is missing.
