t Mr Peter Williams (for Messrs Fried landnr Bros.) reports having held tbdi . weekly sale of horses at their East Stre i Horse Brztar,nn Saturday the 12th ins' ' There was a f»ir entry of horses, Boma ol whioh were very good aorta. There wai alao a fair attendance of farmers anc others but the bidding was very languid It la v^ry evldoot that tha vendors are I putting too bl jc reserves on their horsei 3 as very favr are charging hands. Fornltnra at tnil rateß At the Ttnwald Ynrds on Tuesday the , 15th last., about 1200 sheep and 70 head of oattie were yarded ; the prices for [ sheep on the whole showed a firmer toDe, but the cattle were not In demand, some , good fa r . and store lines being turned out. The following are the prices obtained : — Fat merino ewes, 6g lid and 6i ; fat orossbred ewes, 8? 6d and 9a 4i; fat , crossbred wethera, 10s ; 2 tooth orossbred , ewes and wethers, 8a ; 610 crossbred [ ewes and lambs (all count), 5) ; 688 merino ewes and lambs (all oonnt), 3s 6d.
