(per press association,) London, January 10. Two off coast cargoes of Australian wheat were sold at 39s 6d. New Zeabnd long berried is quiet at 42s 6d. Australian wheat, ex store, 435. Tallow— Mutton, 35s to 35s 6d ; beef, 34s to 34s 6d ; hides, 3^d to 4d. An attempt is being made by an English syndicate to create a corner m tobacco. (Received January 14, 12 15 p m.) London, Jr.nuary 13. Up to date one hundred and twentyfive thousand bales of wool have arrived for the next series. Leather has ex perienccd a general decline of one farthing. Basils have advanced a farthing. Rabbit Skins— The market is steady. For three months bills 2| per cent is asked. Business m forward wheat is inactive. Foreign arrivals are moderate. An off coast cargo was sold at from 39s to 39s 6d. The English wheat market is firm, the Continental inactive. The American market shows a general decline. Several Australian cargoes are awaiting sale. Long-berried 42s to 42s 6d. Australian 42s 6d to 435. New Zealand hemp, £36 15s to £37.
