The naval monthly meeting of the above Board was hell on Monday, January 7. Present— Meaera WVker (chairman). Harrison, MoPurlane, and Ed son The Ovorseer's report was read rod considered. Tenders were ordered to be called for for forming about 30 chains of Miln's Boad. Permission waa granted to Mr Rutherford to erect, a -gate on road I near Seotion 18547- - ceRBESpoNDSHoa. From the New Zealand L and M.A. Co. statins: that they had let K> M«B'« W, and 8, MoGlimont certain sections, and asked for their names to be put on the Roll. To be attended to. v^ From the Ashbnrton County Council, conveying resolution that the *om of £5 be granted to the Mount Somera Boad Board an final settlement toward repairs and drainage at Booth's cutting. . After some discussion the following reply was voted to be sent to the Conceit : That the Road Board is of th& opinion that the Council by offering £5 as a 'final settlement towards repairs and drainage at Booth's cutting, appears anxious to go away from the conditions nnder which tb« tramway was constructed as between the Road Board and the Council, Mr Harrison and the Chairman were appointed a deputation to explain these conditions to the Council. Fiom Mobmb Miles and 00, agreeing to tell the land wanted for the proposed new cutting at Sandy Enobb, the Board to pay all legal expenses.— Received.. ' Prom the County Council askimrif the Board would recommend their Overseer to sell dog collars again, thia year.— Resolved to mukft the recommendation, From Mr E. Mcllwraith stating that he had sold Pection 30G9toMr A. MoFarlane, and asked that bJa name be taken off the Boll.— To be attendei to. SMALL SIBDS EGG 3. Besolved to give 2s per 100 for small birds' egga. POUNDKBEMR. Applications were received for the office of poundkeeper, and that of Mr William Fergus was accepted ACCOUNTS. Accounts amounting to £60 14* were passed for payment and the Board adjourned.
