PARISIAN SENSATIONS

A DUEL AND A DOUBLE SUIOirE. The latest Parisian sensation is a hostile • encounter, tbe motives of which have ' been kept strictly secret, which took place on the morning of Nov. 27, m the Bois de Vllle d' Avroy not far from C&vres. The combatants were M. de M-— a cavalry officer, and M L , son of a former Minister of the Third Empire. Judging from the severity of the conditions arranged and the desperately determined eonduot of the adversaries, ihe canses of ihe duel mnst have been of tbe gravest possible nature. Neither is expeoted to recover, Sonlame bad left a letter on tbe table announcing _ their Intention to commit suicide together, bat affording no Indication as to motive.
