A reply has been received by Mr P. Williams, chairman of (he Committee of the Tradesmen's Racing Club, from tho C. J C re the protest against Z< alrt, referred to them for decision. It is to the effect that the Committee have decided that the protest nhould not be ent rtalned on tbe ground that the Rakaia meeting coming undor the denomination of Bports it was not necessary to submit tbe pro* gramme to the 0.J.0 , hence horses running thereat are not ctit qualified,
