TINWALD TOWN BOARD
The ordinary monthly meeting of tha) Tinwald Toirn Board was held Od Friday, Present— Messrs J. Olark (Chairman), M. Soo-t, B. Ede, 0. Jephson *ud, T. Williams. Correspondence was re«d from the Asbburton County Oooncll, asking the Board to take oontrol of gravel reserve near the ealeyards. The Clerk was iustraoted to reply that the Board desired to know what conditions are attached to taking over the reserve. — From the Under Secretary for Pnb'io Worki forwarding copy of proposed amendments to the Public Works lot.— > From the And I tor-General requesting the payment off-1 13a 4d for auditing the Board* accounts for the year ending 31ft March. 1888. Resolved to p»y the fame. It was resolved (o Instruct tbe Ashburton poundkeeper to Impound ail slock straying In the district— Mr Soott asked for permission to take the water from -the •Ida ohannel through his yard Into Graham's road, and also to be: allowed to make a crossing orer the aide obinnei m front of bis hotel. Granted. .- Messrs Scott and Ede were appointed m Works Committee.— lt was retolved to oall for tenders for taking up did culvert onGraham'i road, and making a ford al the junction of that road, and Grove street.— lt was resolved " That a general rate for tbe year ending Maroh 31st, 1889! of three farthings In the pound on .all tatf* able property In the tbe town district be straok at a special meeting to be held on Monday, January 21st, 1889, paytbta m ona sum on the 28 ;h day of January. 1889." After passing accounts and transacting, routine bnilaeis the Board ad jdurned.
