From & capital start Vandal led Quibble, Wolverine, Ravenewing, Dudu, and Ruby following m close order. No ohange ocoutred till passing Ford's where Quibble and llavenswing improved their position. At the Kennels the latter went into second place, and turning into the straight was running side by side with Vandal. Dudu who bad been moving up eince pasaing the Kennels got on even te^mg with the leaders, at th.c dittanoe post thence j ebe drew away, and though Vandal and Ravenswing gamely responded to the challenge, Cutts mare* won by a length and a half, Bavenswiag a length from V*nda\ third, Volverine fourth, Raby fifth, Quibble last.
