ACCIDENT TO A BALLOONIST.
Melbourne, December 31. Bartholomew, an aeronaut, who has been giving exhibitions of descents from balloons, met with a severe accident on Saturday. He descended with a parachute at Ballarat, but coming down much faster than usual struck a house and badly lacerated both his legs, besides injuring the bone.
