A meeting of stewards was held to oonalder the matter. The evidence of leveral wltoeiiei went to show pretty conclusively that there bad been jostling. Jackson, the tlder of Kimberley, tatd that the horae had a. tendency to bote m, and be bad done 10 on this occasion, but be (JaoksoD) kept him oat, and thought that there was plenty of joom for Q ilbble, who wm on the inside, to pw». The evtdenoo went to ahow that the jostling wai not the jockey's fault, but sa the rule of raolng on the inbjeol wai conclusive, the stewards •warded the raoe to Qaibble, and second money to The Brewer, at the same time expressing their opinion that Jackson w*b act to blame for the occurrence.
